Make sure the sparkle doesn't fade.
Store it in a clean, dry place.
If you store your ring in a jewellery box, keep it in a separate compartment from your other jewellery. If the box is not fabric-lined, wrap it in soft tissue paper.
Don't store a diamond ring with other gems - they may scratch each other.
Take your ring back to the jeweller at least once a year to check for loose prongs, worn mountings and other problems.
The ring's mounting can be damaged by chlorine. Remove your ring before going swimming and keep it away from household cleaning products.
