Mail threat grows.
The threat of industrial action by Royal Mail managers came a step closer last night when union leaders decided to ask thousands of employees if they wanted to hold a ballot in a row over jobs. Amicus has accused the postal organisation of hatching secret plans to make compulsory redundancies among managers which the union said would be in breach of a job security agreement.Talks between the two sides will be held later this week in a bid to avert industrial action.
