Mail Music: THE HIVES Carling Academy, Glasgow, September 26 #####.

The Hives proved they are one of the most hyperactive live bands on stage.

Clad in their signature black and white suits, the Swedes danced and jerked around as if demented by their primitive and stomping sound.

The response from the crowd was either to join in or stare in bewilderment at the bedlam.

The Hives' music may sound like the same rock 'n' roll rant after a few songs but gems such as Main Offender and Hate To Say I Told You So show the genius behind the madness.
