Mahavet technical summit' 2015.

Mahavet Satara organised their annual technical summit on 'Recent Advances in Surgical, Clinical and Managemental Aspects in Companion and Farm Animals' on 1st March 2015 at Hotel Dreamland, Mahabaleshwar, Dist. Satara, Maharashtra. 220 Field Veterinarians from different districts of Maharashtra actively participated in the technical summit.

The inaugural session was attended by Dr. N.N. Sawkare, RJCAH, Pune; Dr. A.S. Bannalikar, Dean, KNP College of Veterinary Science, Shirwal; Dr. D.P. Gaikwad, RJCAH, DIS, Pune; Dr. C.C. Wakankar, Senior Pet Practitioner; Dr. Shridhar Koli, DDCAH, Satara; Dr. Rajeshwar Kadam, DAHO, Satara; Dr. Pramod Mahajan, Executive President, Mahavet; Dr. M. Chavan, President, Mahavet Satara and Dr. Ajit Mali, Organizing Secretary.

The technical session had presentations and deliberations from Dr. Anil Bhikane, Professor of Medicine, Veterinary College, MAFSU, Udgir on various production diseases in bovines; Dr. Vinay Gorhe, leading practitioner from Pune discussed on the latest advances in companion animal practice and Dr. Mahadev Gawali, ACAH, Sangli deliberated with attending Vets on important tips in Equine health, management and surgical techniques. Further, Dr. Vijay Sawant, ACAH, Waduj, shared his extension work experiences regarding free range housing system, Azolla cultivation and its nutritional value as a livestock feed. During the technical session, field Veterinarians actively participated and tried to enlighten them with the latest techniques for better advent of clinical practice.
