Magnotti named 'Angel in Adoption'.
The Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute honored Wenatchee's Mike Magnotti of New Life Adoptions in Wenatchee as an "Angel in Adoption" at an awards ceremony on Oct. 8 and gala on Oct. 9 in Washington, D.C.
He was nominated for the award by Congressman Dave Reichert.
Magnotti began helping children and families with adoptions in 2007 when he took a position with Antioch Adoptions in Redmond. This was after 20 years of services with the Wenatehee Police Department specializing in child abuse and domestic violence cases. He was able to reach more people when he started his own organization called New Life Adoptions in October 2010.
New Life Adoptions is a nonprofit organization that seeks to provide foster children and privately relinquished infants with Christian adoptive homes. To date, New Life Adoptions has facilitated the adoptions of 46 children.
CCAI was created in 2001 by the bipartisan, bicameral Congressional Coalition on Adoption to raise Congressional and public awareness about the issue of adoption. At this year's event, more than 140 "Angels" from around the country were recognized.
