Magnificent seven for city property firm.

Byline: Jenny Waddington Business editor

AN INTERNATIONAL property firm run by two Coventry brothers has scooped seven gongs at the world's biggest awards ceremony for the industry.

Allsopp & Allsopp is run by Carl and Lewis Allsopp and the pair opened their first office in Coventry just over a year ago.

That was on the back of their hugely successful estate agency operation in Dubai where they employ more than 100 staff and have developed a strong reputation since they launched in 2008.

The company's achievements were recognised at the International Property Awards, sponsored by Rolls Royce, where Allsopp & Allsopp picked up seven awards, including Best Lettings Agency (Dubai) Best Real Estate Agency Website (Dubai) Highly Commended Real Estate Agency (Dubai) and Highly Commended Real Marketing (Dubai).

They also landed Best Lettings Agency (Arabia and Africa), Best Real Estate Agency Website (Arabia) and the hugely prestigious Best International Lettings Agency for the World.

That means a total of 17 awards for the company in the past four years and director Carl Allsopp is proud of the success.

He said: "In Dubai, we are competing against approximately 3,000 other agencies while for the Africa/Arabia regions I would suggest that rose to tens of thousands agencies.

"For the international award, we were up there against the world's best lettings agencies including the very biggest names so we are extremely proud of the whole team that we have won the Best International Letting Agency for the whole world.

"Our office in Dubai has been established for six years now we have based our whole ethos on great customer service, professional support and advice and strong marketing - and our success says that policy is working.

"We brought that model back to Coventry in 2013 and already it is proving popular with those looking to sell their homes in the city.

"The attention to detail we give to sellers and, indeed, those looking to buy is mak-mak ing us one of the fore-running estate agencies in Coventry and, such as been our success in our first year here, we are now looking to open a second UK office early in 2015."

Allsopp & Allsopp's rise in the city has seen the company sponsor Coventry City Football Club's home shirts for the remainder of this season with a view to extending that into next season.

Tynan Scope, of Coventry City, said: "This is a fantastic achievement for Allsopp & Allsopp and it's great to see a Coventry company achieving such success."
