Featuring more than 200 W output, the 4490 brushless dc servomotor measures 44 mm in diameter and 90 mm in length. It's appropriate for medical and laboratory equipment and robotics as well as factory automation, aerospace, and aviation applications. The motor combines a skew wound ironless rotor coil with a Neodymium magnet. Three Hall sensors detect the position of the rotor by evaluating its magnetic field and provide feedback for the external driver. In addition, a new planetary gearbox--the all-steel 44/1 with a shaft size of 10 mm--has been designed to handle the power of the 4490.
