Maggie Barry Column: EU KENNY BE SERIOUS.

Byline: Maggie Barry

I AM truly sorry we lost the Euro 2008 bid - it would have been a great party.

But I think Kenny Dalglish is off his chump in wanting to sue UEFA.

To misquote the words of another famous sportsman: "He cannot be serious."

I expect there were shenanigans behind the scenes that doom-ed Scotland's bid - but hey, anyone who thinks there is no politics in sport is naive.

And as for the winning bid... well the organisers have made their bed now.

Switzerland and Austria are beautiful countries, yes, and extremely practical, efficient and - er, boring.
