Madonna left club with girl stripper, trial hears.
The singer was the latest celebrity named as a client of The Gold Club, in Atlanta, Georgia, by a witness at the trial of owner Steve Kaplan on charges of prostitution and Mafia extortion.
Attorney Don Samuel said earlier this month: "Before this trial is over, these celebrities might be called to testify."
In a 17th-floor courtroom in Atlanta's Federal Building, Madonna was named as a VIP guest by George Kontos.
Mr Kontos, who was VIP manager from 1994 to 1996, told the court Madonna had once asked if she could leave with a dancer known as Baby.
But her spokesman told Atlanta journalists the superstar had not been to Atlanta in "years and years".
She added: "I don't know if it's anything Madonna would be ashamed of, by the way."
Prosecutors allege Kaplan paid strippers to have sex with the rich and famous to keep high-fliers in his club.
They also claim the club, which made pounds 140,000 a week, was "protected" by New York's notorious Gambino Mafia crime family.
Crime bosses and US sports personalities are expected to be called to the stand.
Mr Kontos also named actor Stephen Baldwin. He claimed he saw the actor and a stripper involved in "sexual activity" there in 1995 or 1996.
The court has also heard claims that Mick Jagger, George Clooney, Bruce Willis, even King Carl of Sweden were among guests at the club, although there is no suggestion of sex. The trial continues.
