Madge moves with the times.

SHE was busy introducing the world to the art of Voguing while Lady Gaga was playing hopscotch at her fancy all-girls' school.

And after a near 30-year wait, Midland fans fi-nally got to see Madonna in the flesh at her maiden Birmingham concert at the city's NIA last week.

I was lucky enough to count myself among the 11,000-strong audience in one of only three UK dates for her Madgesty's MDNA world tour.

Despite a few lukewarm reviews for her Hyde Park gig - no doubt hampered by the downpour - Madonna did her faithful fans proud in a two-hour spectacular in Brum.

She had style and she had grace. The conical bras of her Blonde Ambition tour were replaced by close-fitting costumes that wouldn't have looked out of place in a Bond film.

Yet the 53-year-old showed that was no chance of her naughtiness abating as she writhed in front of fans during a saucy show packed with favourites including Express Yourself and Hung up.

Tracks from new album MDNA figured highly on the setlist, but it was her 80s classics that really raised the roof.

A euphoric Like a Prayer, complete with choir, set the seal on an unforgettable evening.

And if I can move like that when I'm 33, let alone 53, I'll be a happy woman.
