Machnouk meets Lassen, contacts UNHCR.

NNA - Caretaker Interior Minister, Nouhad Machnouk, met on Friday with the European Union Ambassador to Lebanon, Christina Lassen. Minister Machnouk urged Lassen to declare a state of emergency within the international institutions concerned with the displaced Syrians in Lebanon, to follow up on their disastrous situation following the recent storm and in anticipation of the next one, especially in the camps of the Bekaa. Machnouk also contacted the Office of the High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), urging UNHACR to take the necessary steps and declare a state of emergency in anticipation of the next storm. On the other hand, Lassen asked the Minister for a copy of the final report of the Election Oversight Committee. ================ L.Y
