Mac: I had to stick it to Ton fans for boos.

MRTAUTD.......1 SCOTT McLAUGHLIN silenced tormenting Ton fans by scoring the only goal then celebrated with Ayr coach Andy Millen.

The two former Morton men came in for ferocious abuse from the Cappielow crowd and prompted Mac to lap up his goal in style.

Ayr skipper McLaughlin raced towards the Cow Shed but slipped, prompting laughter from the home fans, before changing direction and charging towards Millen in the away dugout.

McLaughlin, who found the net after keeper Derek Gaston had spilled a low cross from Michael Donald, said: "It was sweet. I went to celebrate with Andy because he gets stick as well."
