MYRON ROEDER NAMED PRESIDENT OF SEAGRAM'S TROPICANA SUBSIDIARY

 NEW YORK, March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The Seagram Company Ltd. (NYSE: VO) today announced the appointment of Myron A. Roeder as president of its Tropicana Products, Inc. subsidiary based in Bradenton, Fla. Mr. Roeder, who most recently has been president, international and global marketing, will continue to report directly to Edgar Bronfman, Jr., Seagram's president and chief operating officer.
 "Myron is a talented executive with a wealth of experience, having headed some of Seagram's most important operations in Europe and the Far East," stated Mr. Bronfman. "He has performed an outstanding job for Tropicana, particularly over the past several months, as Tropicana's U.S. market share has grown. At the same time, he has been able to continue our worldwide geographic expansion. Tropicana's already strong management team will benefit from Myron's leadership as they work together to further build Tropicana in the United States and international markets," he added.
 Mr. Roeder has served with Seagram since 1982 in senior positions with the company, including president of Seagram Far East and Seagram Europe. In his most recent position, he was responsible for Tropicana's worldwide marketing efforts and also led the company's successful expansion into international markets.
