Byline: mountaineering instructor Mike Raine

I work as a senior Instructor at Plas y Brenin the National Mountain Centre in Capel Curig.

My job is teaching mountaineering skills. Much of my work is training others teach hillwalking and leadership skills or rock climbing.

I have a strong personal interest in the environment in which I work which led to the publication of my book, Nature of Snowdonia (Pesda Press 2009) and I regularly tweet from the hill.

I can be followed on Twitter @ mikerraine or on Facebook at 'Mike Raine: Notes from the Hill' Do you have an interesting job or |hobby and would like to take part in My Week? Email for more details.
