MY QUAD BOYS; Amazing 3D scans show all 4 babies of expectant mother Soheyla are male.
QUADS mum-to-be Soheyla Zolfaghary is expecting four boys, she revealed yesterday.
The 24-year-old has been told her unborn babies - who are all identical - are male.
Amazing 3D scans of the foetuses also show all their organs are well formed.
And doctors are now optimistic the 20-week pregnant former model will be able to get to the 31-week stage when they plan to deliver the babies by caesarean section.
Soheyla, who already has nine-month-old son Zach, said: "We're going to have our own five-a-side football team,
"I'm delighted to be having four sons but to be honest I've never minded what sex they are. I just want them to be OK.
"My greatest worry has always been their health and welfare and the doctors are really pleased with how they are doing."
Soheyla, whose pregnancy with quads the Mirror revealed in February, added: "One of the babies is a little bit smaller than the other three but we've been told it isn't a big concern at the moment.
"It's still a bit unreal and very scary but as time goes on I'm allowing myself to get more confident and excited." Soheyla naturally conceived identical quads - an eleven and a half million to one chance - before Christmas despite being on mini-Pill Femulen.
The babies are all in separate sacs but share the same placenta and therefore the same blood supply.
Soheyla and boyfriend Matthew Owens, 32, have since met with multiple births expert Professor Kypros Nicolaides. The couple travelled to King's College Hospital in South London to discuss their options and have medical checks.
After lengthy consultation they ruled out reducing the number of foetuses from four to two and decided to go ahead with the high-risk pregnancy.
A test for Down's syndrome proved negative and specialists who measured the foetuses say they are delighted with their progress.
This week Soheyla returned to St James's Hospital in her home town of Leeds for two more pre-natal scans. She will go into hospital in the next four weeks for total bed rest up until the birth.
The babies will be so small they will have to stay in special care for several weeks afterwards.
"I'm very tired and quite sick," said Soheyla. "But to be honest I feel better than I did when I was carrying Zach."
Soheyla and Matthew spent 90 minutes at Jimmy's for yesterday's appointment.
Doctors wanted to check one of the babies whose face and kidneys they had been unable to see at an earlier scan.
The quads' amazing three-dimensional imaging was done by Babyview in Barnsley, South Yorks.
- SURROGATE mum Teresa Anderson, 25, is 30 weeks pregnant with FIVE baby boys in Arizona.
