MWMC recruitments: DC to hear complainant today.
MULTAN -- On the direction of the Lahore High Court's Multan Bench, the deputy commissioner will decide an application challenging the recruitment in the Multan Waste Management Company (MWMC) in alleged violation of rules and regulations.
The DC has summoned the complainant on Wednesday (today) for hearing.
Sheikh Muhammad Khawar, a resident of Mumtazabad, filed a petition with the LHC stating that former DC Mudassir Riaz Malik had appointed nine officers in the MWMC in violation of rules.
He stated that the recruitment was made during the ban imposed by the provincial government and appointments were made for a probation period of three months but subsequently the probation period was illegally extended.
While making the appointments, he alleged, the academic qualifications were ignored by the former DC as the appointees were not possessing the requisite qualifications against the posts.
He stated that the former DC made appointments in violation of rules and policy and he (complainant) being aggrieved submitted an application to the DC to hold an inquiry.He stated that since May 20, his application had been pending with the DC.
DC Aamer Khattak has summoned the petitioner for hearing on Wednesday (today).
On June 11, Justice Rasaal Hasan Syed directed the DC to look into the matter and decide the case expeditiously.
The provincial government had imposed a ban on recruitments and a notification was issued on Dec 7.
On the direction of former DC, the administration of the MWMC issued an advertisement for recruitment on Nov 14 while requesting applications for one each post of manager operations, manager workshop and fleet management, manager procurement and contract, manager finance, manager MIS/IT, manager admin and HR, deputy manager operations, deputy manager accounts, deputy manager admin and HR, deputy manager IT, assistant manager admin and HR, assistant manager accounts and assistant manager IT, two posts of assistant accounts officers and four each posts of executives and officers.
