 MVMA REPORTS 440,204 NEW TRUCK SALES FOR JUNE
 DETROIT, July 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Franchised dealers of U.S. truck


manufacturers sold 440,204 units in June, a record for the month, according to a preliminary report issued today by the Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association of the United States, Inc. (MVMA). The sales total nearly matched the monthly record of 446,495 units set in March 1988.
 Retail sales for the month ran 22.4 percent above the 359,778 units sold for the month a year ago.
 June sales were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4,772,000, an 18.9-percent increase from the June 1991 seasonally adjusted rate of 4,014,000 units.
