MUSLIM MP: BRING BACK TERROR SPY CAMERAS; 'They would have helped security services stop suicide bomb plot'.

Byline: Nick McCarthy, CRIME CORRESPONDENT

A CITY MP wants to bring back "spy cameras" to predominantly Muslim areas of Birmingham in the wake of a failed suicide bomb plot, hatched in Sparkhill.

Khalid Mahmood said the revival of the controversial Project Champion would help protect the city and the UK.

The Muslim MP for Perry Barr spoke out after a gang of fanatics were convicted of planning an horrific bomb blitz, potentially deadlier than 7/7. Meanwhile, former school friends of Irfan Naseer - the 23-stone ring-leader - described him as a "class idiot".

Terror cops also revealed that the al-Qaeda inspired extremists had been recruiting impressionable young Muslim men from 'underground' gyms in Birmingham.
