MUM-OF-TWO SHOT IN HER OWN HOME 'A VICTIM OF TARGETED ATTACK' Police issue CCTV image of man they would like to speak to.

A MUM-OF-TWO shot in her home was the victim of a "targeted attack", police said.

Detectives issued CCTV footage showing a man officers want to speak to about Tuesday's horrific incident in Solihull.

The 51-year-old mother-oftwo was shot in the shoulder and hand at her home in Dovehouse Lane at around 8.30am. She was taken to hospital where she remains in a stable condition.

Police patrols have been stepped up in the area.

Det Insp Stuart Bell, of West Midlands Police force CID, said: "Investigations remain underway today to establish the circumstances around what happened.

At this stage we do believe this to be a targeted attack but the motive remains unclear.

"However, we can confirm that nothing was taken."

Mr Bell said officers also wanted to hear from drivers who may be able to help.

"I am keen to hear from anyone who was in and around the area between 8.30am and 9am particularly drivers who may have dashcam footage," he said. "Local officers continue to patrol the area to offer reassurance to residents and the wider community.

"We are determined to catch whoever was responsible and a dedicated team of detectives are working on the case.

"I would urge anyone with information that could assist us to make contact as soon as possible."
