 MULTIBANK FINANCIAL CORP. ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT
 OF SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF CREDIT ADMINISTRATION
 DEDHAM, Mass., Aug. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Multibank Financial Corp. (NASDAQ: MLTF) announced today the appointment of Ferdinand T. Kelley as senior vice president of credit administration. Kelley will have responsibility for oversight of the company's loan policy and will manage all aspects of Multibank's corporate-wide credit administration program. He will also serve as vice chairman of the credit policy and credit administration review committee.
 Prior to joining Multibank, Kelley served as Worcester regional president of Fleet Bank of Massachusetts where he managed Fleet's commercial and industrial loan portfolio for the state's central region. From 1984 to 1991, he was with Bank of New England where he held positions of increasing responsibility in the bank's commercial lending function. Earlier in his career, he was a vice president in the commercial lending group of Citibank/Citicorp, San Francisco, Calif., and an assistant vice president at Crocker National Bank, San Francisco.
 Kelley holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce, University of Pennsylvania and a BA degree from College of the Holy Cross. He also attended Boston University Law School. Kelley and his family reside in Holden, Mass.
 Multibank Financial Corp. is a registered bank holding company with five Massachusetts banks. The company's stock is traded on the over- the-counter market and is listed and quoted through NASDAQ National Market System (NMS) under the symbol MLTF.
