MUELLER INDUSTRIES APPOINTS CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER WICHITA, Kan., June 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Mueller Industries Inc.
(NYSE: MLI) announced that William D. O'Hagan has been appointed chief operating officer. O'Hagan will assume his duties later this month. As the chief operating officer of Mueller, O'Hagan will direct sales, marketing, distribution, manufacturing and MIS activities.
Harvey L. Karp, chairman and CEO stated, "Bill O'Hagan has spent 32 years in our industry, and has extensive knowledge of our products, markets and manufacturing processes. He spent the last 11 years as vice president and general manager of NIBCO Inc., which manufactures wrot copper fittings, plastic fittings and refrigeration products. Prior to that he was with Cambridge-Lee Industries and also was a senior executive with Phelps Dodge Copper Products Co. He was educated at Rutgers University and Harvard Graduate School with a degree in Finance. I feel sure that Bill O'Hagan will make a very significant contribution to our company. It is our goal to make Mueller the most successful company in our industry." Mueller Industries manufactures and distributes flow control copper tube and fittings, commercially used brass rod, as well as other products made of copper, brass, bronze, iron, plastic and aluminum.
