MUELLER INDUSTRIES ANNOUNCES RESIGNATION OF DIRECTOR

 WICHITA, Kan., Sept. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Mueller Industries Inc. (NYSE: MLI) announced today that Gerard Manolovici, a director for the past two and one-half years, resigned effective Aug. 30, 1993. Harvey L. Karp, chairman said, "Mr. Manolovici made a significant contribution to the company's successful revitalization and his counsel will be missed."
 Mueller Industries is a leading and diversified fabricator whose products include copper tube and fittings; aluminum and copper impact extrusions; plastic fittings and valves; brass and bronze forgings refrigeration valves, driers and flare fittings; and brass and copper alloy rods, bars and shapes.
