MUELLER INDUSTRIES ANNOUNCES ELECTION OF NEW DIRECTOR WICHITA, Kan., Feb. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Mueller Industries Inc.
(NYSE: MLI) announced today that Ray C. Adam was elected a director effective Jan. 30, 1992.
Adam is the former chairman and chief executive officer of NL Industries Inc. where he served from 1972 until his retirement in 1983. Adam is presently engaged in private investment activities. Adam has also served on the board of directors of a number of public companies, including American Broadcasting Cos., NL Industries, J.P. Morgan Bank, Metropolitan Life Insurance, Belding Hemingway, Cities Services Oil Co. and Freeport McMoran Cos. More recently, he was a director of Bristol-Myers Inc. and Dillon, Read and Co. Inc. He is a member of The Business Council, and has served on the council on Foreign Affairs, Economics Club (N.Y.), and the Foreign Policy Association.
