MSPs face arrest over nuke demo.
HUNDREDS of peace protesters, including three MSPs, face arrest today as they gather to form a blockade at Faslane nuclear base.Scottish Socialist leader Tommy Sheridan, Scottish Green Party leader Robin Harper and the SNP's Lloyd Quinan say they are willing to be arrested in the bid to stop access to the base.
Sheridan said: "I am prepared to be arrested and go to jail again to rid Scotland of these vile weapons of death."
More than 800 activists are expected at the protest.
David Mackenzie of Scottish CND said: "We aim to shut off access to the base for the day to cause as much disruption as possible."
But he added that the turnout could be poor because people had tired of anti- war demonstrations.
