MQM Punjab leader assassinated in Sialkot.
SIALKOT -- An officebearer of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Sialkot was shot down by some unknown assailants on Wednesday.
According to details, MQM Sialkot Vice President Bao Muhammed Anwar was standing outside his restaurant located on Shahabpura Road area of the city, when unidentified miscreants opened fire at him, killing him on the spot.
Two of his employees also were injured in the attack, according to a statement released by the MQM in today's wee hours.
MQM chief Altaf Hussain also expressed grief over his death, saying, "Muttahida has lost a senior sincere friend in Punjab."
Altaf Hussain extended condolences to the bereaved family, saying, "All MQM workers share the grief felt by the deceased's family including his children and brothers."
Altaf Hussain also demanded Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Governor Chaudhry Muhammed Sarwar to immediately take notice of the killing and arrest the assassins of MQM leader at the earlies.
