MPs should back leader.

I AM not a member of the Labour Party, neither do I support Middlesbrough Labour Party, but I do like Jeremy Corbyn and I want to see him as Prime Minister. I also want to see John McDonnell as Chancellor of the Exchequer.

Yet, we read and hear on a daily basis that some Labour MPs are hostile to both men. It seems they would rather have the Conservatives win the next General Election than a Labour Party led by Jeremy Corbyn.

They appear to be closer to the Conservatives than Labour. I believe that they should cross the floor of the House and join the Conservatives.

Some Labour MPs seem to be constantly undermining Jeremy Corbyn and thus helping the Conservatives. It begs the question, why? Some Labour MPs may feel that Jeremy Corbyn can't win in 2020 and thus they have to get rid of him well before that date, the alternative being five more years in opposition. They want a new leader whom they see as electable and one who can give them all the rewards of high office. It seems these MPs care nothing for the overwhelming mandate given to Jeremy Corbyn by the membership of the Labour Party. In fact, these MPs seem to believe that they are the Labour Party and that ordinary party members are just a necessary evil who should be seen and not heard.

No wonder thousands of good Labour Party members are despairing of such seemingly pro-Tory antics, and wish these MPs should get in line, resign or shut up.
