Ali, chief executive officer of MPI Home Video. Anchored by Ted Koppel, the exclusive news program provides an intimate profile of President-Elect Bill Clinton's campaign during its most dramatic moments: the day before the election (Nov. 2), election day (Nov. 3), and the day after the election (Nov. 4). "As Americans, it is a rare privilege to get this inside look at Bill Clinton during his transformation from candidate to President- Elect," said Ali in announcing details of the rush-release. "The fact that President-Elect Clinton would share his private moments with the American public makes for a prolific living audiovisual document, for there has never been such a revealing Presidential profile in the history of our country." Beginning in the pre-dawn hours of Monday, Nov. 2, Koppel gained extraordinary access to the Governor and Hillary Clinton as he traveled with them on their campaign plane from Philadelphia to Cleveland, Detroit, St. Louis, Paduca, Ky., McAllen, Texas, Ft. Worth, Texas, Albuquerque, N.M., Denver, and Little Rock, Ark. Simultaneously, ABC News "Nightline's" cameras covered the Clinton campaign's "war room" headquarters in Little Rock as they communicated with their candidate on his plane. Koppel's intimate access to Clinton continued through the Tuesday election and Wednesday's aftermath in Little Rock. The ABC cameras documented his immediate thoughts as the election results were tabulated, and reflective interviews were conducted with family members and notable campaign insiders, such as George Stephanopolis and James Carville. The executive producer of this ABC News Special was Tom Bettag. Photographs and screening copies are available to the press, on request.
