MPI Begins Volume Production for Advanced Bodymetrics.

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 3, 1999--

Microelectronic Packaging Inc. (MPI) (OTCBB:MPIX) today announced that the company has begun shipping volume production for its customer Advanced Bodymetrics Corp. (ABC) (OTCBB:ZABC).

MPI had previously provided prototype and pilot production services for ABC's Pulse Pro(TM) heart rate monitor product line and delivered the first production in June 1999 with volume production continuing on a regular basis.

MPI was selected by ABC for its ability to provide high quality, cost effective manufacturing services without the logistical delays that occur with offshore manufacturing. "This represents a major milestone in our partnership with Advanced Bodymetrics," indicated Andrew K. Wrobel, chairman, president, and chief executive officer of MPI.
