MP Suleimanov hopes for impartial investigation of his beating by MP Tashiev by law enforcement agencies.
MP Bakhadyr Suleimanov is indignant at the statement made by Ata
Jurt faction leader Kamchibek Tashiev, who denied the fact of beating
Suleimanov on April 11. "If bruises and brain concussion, which
were confirmed not by one doctor, but by the council of doctors, is
interpreted by Mr. Tashiev as conversation with a raised voice, then one
can imagine what beating will mean for him," MP Suleimanov said in
an interview with AKIpress on April 13. "He is right in one thing.
Law enforcement officers should investigate the case, hopefully, they
will be impartial in this issue," the parliamentarian said.
Suleimanov said he filed the police report not to draw attention to
himself or to nurture his political ambitions, but "to merely
defend his dignity and human rights in line with the law." He said
the mandate was issued and his election was made in line with the law
that can be proved by the Central Election Commission. The head of the
national heart and internal diseases hospital, Jamila Imanakulova, said
patient Bakhadyr Suleimanov was brought to the hospital with relapse of
chronic obstructive lung disease. He receives medical treatment from
this disease at this hospital for a long time already. Neurologists and
neurosurgeons diagnosed him with brain concussion and closed
craniocerebral injury. MP Suleimanov said he is not member of Ata Jurt
faction, though he entered the Parliament from Ata Jurt party.
