MOTOROLA ELECTS SAMUEL C. SCOTT TO BOARD

 SCHAUMBURG, Ill., Feb. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Samuel C. Scott III has been elected a member of the board of directors of Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT), it announced today.
 Scott is currently a corporate vice president of CPC International, Inc., a consumer foods company, and president of Corn Products, its North American corn refining business.
 He joined Corn Products, headquartered in Argo, Ill., in 1973. Scott has a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering and a master's in business administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
 Motorola is one of the world's leading providers of electronic equipment, systems, components and services for worldwide markets. Products include two-way radios, pagers and wireless data systems, cellular telephones and personal communication systems, semiconductors, defense and aerospace electronics, automotive and industrial electronics, computers, data communications and information processing and handling equipment. Sales in 1992 were $13.3 billion.
