MOTOROLA DESIGNATES TOP DEVELOPERS AS PLATINUM MEMBERS IN THIRD-PARTY PROGRAM; RECOGNIZES CONTRIBUTIONS TO SUCCESS OF 68000 FAMILY

 AUSTIN, Texas, May 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Motorola's (NYSE: MOT) High Performance Microprocessor Division today announced that six leading hardware and software developers -- Hewlett-Packard, Integrated Systems, Inc., Intermetrics Microsystems Software Inc., Microtec Research Inc., Microware Systems Corp. and Ready Systems -- have been elevated to the Platinum Level of Motorola's Third-Party Developer Program.
 As Platinum members, these developers will receive services from Motorola that will help them achieve their marketing and technical goals. These services include strategic discussions with Motorola executives; marketing and public relations support, eligibility for developer products to be resold through Motorola marketing channels worldwide; and strategic 68000 Family market information. Platinum status is based on an number of factors including worldwide customer response to developer products and services. Motorola will be recruiting additional Platinum developers throughout the year.

"By providing access to Motorola's marketing and technical services and information, we are answering our developers requests for ongoing interactive communication."
 Motorola's 68000 Developer Program was launched in March to serve its large developer community, and the company already supports more than 200 third-party hardware and software makers nationwide. Developers can register for the program by calling Motorola's toll-free developer hotline, 800-367-8363.
