MOTOROLA CALLS FOR REDEMPTION OF DEBENTURES

 SCHAUMBURG, Ill., Feb. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) said it has called for redemption, on April 1, 1993, $45,290,000 in aggregate principal amount of its 8 percent sinking fund debentures due Oct. 1, 2007. The redemption price for each $1,000 principal amount debenture to be redeemed will be $1,030.80. The transfer books for the determination of the debentures to be redeemed were closed on Feb. 12, 1993, and will be reopened today. The debentures to the redeemed will be chosen by lot by Harris Trust and Savings Bank, the Trustee.
 After the redemption of these debentures, only $12,500,000 in aggregate principal amount of the debentures will remain outstanding.
 A semi-annual interest installment of $40 for each $1,000 principal amount debenture will be paid on April 1, 1993, to the holder of record of such debenture at the close of business on March 15, 1993. The interest installment may be paid by check mailed to the registered address of such holder.
 Harris Trust and Savings Bank will also serve as redemption agent. Debentures may be presented for redemption at 311 West Monroe Street, Chicago, Ill., 60606, Attention: Bond Service Dept., 11th floor, or at Harris Trust Company of New York, 77 Water Street, 5th Floor, New York, N.Y., 10005.
