MOTOROLA'S 68000 FAMILY BEGINS NATIONWIDE FIVE STAR SEMINAR SERIES; UNVEILS DIRECTION FOR THE DECADE

 AUSTIN, Texas, April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Motorola's High Performance Microprocessor Division today launched the first in a series of more than 40 nationwide 68000 Family Five Star Seminars. These seminars provide customers of 68000 Family products with information to help them determine the best Motorola part for their applications. Attendees include managers, engineers and scientists who design microprocessor- based products.
 "Motorola's 68000 customers have provided valuable feedback and direction for our products," said Jim Reinhart, Motorola's manager of M68000 Family marketing and applications. "The 68000 Family Five Star Seminars provide a forum to gather customer input and communicate our direction in the computer industry into the year 2000."
 The free, day-long seminars demonstrate that the 68000 Family of microprocessors is today's most innovative, flexible and affordable choice for high-performance computing and embedded processing applications. Topics include 68000 Family highlights, the integrated 683xx Family, the 68EC0x0, an update on the 68060 and the future direction of the 68000 Family.
 Afternoon application sessions cover technical topics including memory, interfaces, printer applications, low power considerations and development tools. Engineers and engineering managers may register for a local session in the following cities by calling 1-800-845-MOTO.
