Intellectual property company MOSAID Technologies Inc (TSX:MSD) announced on Monday it has entered into an 19-day standstill agreement with consumer electronics company Samsung Electronics Co Ltd.

The companies have successfully negotiated a new agreement that is subject to approval by both companies' boards of directors on or before 18 January 2010. No financial details were disclosed.

The standstill agreement was put in place to cover the period between the expiration of MOSAID's existing semiconductor agreement with Samsung on 31 December 2009 and the expected approval of the new agreement by Samsung's board of directors, MOSAID said.
