MORRISON KNUDSEN CONDUCTS INTERNAL INVESTIGATION

 MORRISON KNUDSEN CONDUCTS INTERNAL INVESTIGATION
BOISE, Idaho, May 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Morrison Knudsen Corp. (MK)

(NYSE: MRN) announced today that it is conducting an internal investigation into the monitoring of business telephones of three employees in March of 1991 for a 10-day period. The monitoring was undertaken in an attempt to identify the source of unauthorized disclosure of sensitive corporate information.
The internal investigation was initiated several months ago by MK chairman and chief executive officer William J. Agee and has been conducted with the full knowledge of the board of directors. MK is aware of only three employees whose calls were monitored.
As a result of the company's investigation to date, corporate and outside counsel have concluded that no wrongdoing was knowingly committed by anyone at the company.
The corporation further announced that it is cooperating fully with a parallel investigation of the matter by the United States Attorney for the District of Idaho which was initiated after MK's own internal investigation.
Because of the ongoing government investigation, Morrison Knudsen officials will have no further comment on the matter at this time.
