MORRISON KNUDSEN ANNOUNCES RECEIPT OF COMMITMENTS TO REMANUFACTURE
 OVER $35-MILLION WORTH OF LOCOMOTIVES
 BOISE, Idaho, May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Morrison Knudsen Corp. (MK) (NYSE: MRN) announced today that it has received four orders during the past three weeks worth more than $35 million to remanufacture or repair railroad locomotives.
 The company announced that it has received a contract from New Jersey Transit to rebuild six commuter locomotives as well as three commitments from separate class I railroads to rebuild or repair an additional 56 locomotives.
 "This increased order activity signals a resurgence in our locomotive business as the economy improves," said William J. Agee, MK's chairman and chief executive officer.
 All of the work will be performed at MK's locomotive shop in Boise. MK's remanufacturing process utilizes both new and recycled components and normally adds 15 to 20 years to the life of a locomotive.
