 MORE THAN 400 NEW JOBS AND 700 TOTAL HIRES SOUGHT BY ARA
 FOR NEW ORIOLE PARK AT CAMDEN YARDS
 BALTIMORE, Feb. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- ARA Services, the manager of food and beverage services and souvenir sales at the new Oriole Park at Camden Yards, announced today it will hire approximately 700 (mostly part-time) individuals to serve fans at the new park, an increase of 400 employees.
 Approximately 300 individuals will be previous ARA Leisure Services employees returning for the 1992 season. For the first time, 24 full- time positions will be available due to the expanded services and facilities ARA will provide at the new park.
 "ARA is delighted to be able to hire 57 percent more people for the 1992 Orioles season despite these challenging economic times," said Charles Gillespie, president, ARA Leisure Services Division. "We remain committed to the communities in which we operate and hope to have a positive impact on the local Baltimore economy with the creation of 700 jobs."
 ARA si?d it is looking for qualified individuals to fill a variety of positions including bartenders, cashiers, concession stand workers, cooks, deli workers, grille cooks, fine dining servers, suite attendants, supervisors to oversee the operation of concession locations, utility workers, vending assistants, vendors, waitresses and waiters and warehouse staff.
 ARA will accept applications for the available positions over a three-day period. Potential new employees wishing to apply are invited to stop by the Hit & Run Club at Memorial Stadium's main entrance on the following dates and at the specified times: Friday, Feb. 21, 3 p.m.- 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 22, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.; and Sunday, Feb. 23, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
 "We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and professional individuals with high school diplomas to serve the fans during the 1992 season," said Jay Boyle, ARA Leisure Services general manager, Oriole Park at Camden Yards. "Interested individuals should bring to the open house a state-issued I.D. card and Social Security Card or a state- issued I.D. card and birth certificate."
 Over the last two years, ARA has been extremely involved in the planning and development of the new Oriole Park at Camden Yards. ARA has gone to great lengths to make the food service and selection at the new park affordable and appropriate for all types of fans.
 At the new park, ARA will meet the challenge of the fans' diverse demands by catering to a variety of groups and offering new and different dining experiences. New deli stops and The Grillworks buffets will complement the traditional hot dog, pretzel, nachos and peanut stands.
 "Our hope is that ARA's expanded services and facilities and the new park's old fashioned feel will draw fans to Camden Yards throughout the '92 baseball season and beyond," said Gillespie.
 ARA Leisure Services Division manages food, refreshment, gift and souvenir sales for many of the nation's most popular stadiums and arenas, racetracks, national parks and ski resorts. ARA Services is a privately held company based in Philadelphia with nearly $5 billion in sales.
