MORE THAN 4,000 SOUTHLANDERS EXPECTED TO BID FOR HOMES
AT FREDDIE MAC 'AMERICAN DREAM' AUCTION THIS WEEKEND
As estimated 4,500 potential homebuyers will vie for 210 Southern California residences to be sold at auction this weekend by the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp. (Freddie Mac).
Santa Monica-based Kennedy-Wilson Inc., the nation's leading real estate auction-marketing firm, will conduct the "American Dream" auction, a two-day sale today (July 25) at the Los Angeles Convention Center and July 26 at the Westin South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, both at 2 p.m. Kennedy-Wilson expects more than 3,000 bidders to be on hand at the Los Angeles Convention Center with another 1,500 scheduled for the South Coast Plaza. Hundreds are due to register auction day.
Properties are located throughout Southern California in seven counties from Bakersfield to San Diego. Most of the properties will be sold "absolute," or to the highest bidder, regardless of price. Those remaining will be sold subject to a published "reserve" price.
A leader in the field of real estate auction-marketing, Kennedy- Wilson Inc. has sold more than $2 billion of residential, resort and commercial real estate since its founding in 1977.
