MORE THAN 25,00 ATTENDEES EXPECTED AT COMNET '92 IN D.C. WHEN: Monday, Jan. 27-Thursday Jan. 30 WHERE: Washington Convention Center Washington, D.C. ComNet '92, the industry's largest voice and data communications comference and exposition, will open next week at the Washington Convention Center in Washington. The show will feature 450 exhibitors and announcements and over 150 new products, product enhancements and product upgrades. Attendance is expected to exceed 25,000. EVENTS: -- Bellcore President and CEO George Heilmeier will give the opening address on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 9:30 a.m., Ramada Renaissance Techworld Hotel. -- The first annual New Product Achievement Award Competition will honor five exhibiting companies for new developments that will make the greatest overall contribution to the communications industry. The winmners will be announced at a press conference on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 2 p.m., Room 10, Washington Convention Center. -- The Executive Symposium scheduled for Monday, Jan. 27, through Tuesday, Jan. 28, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. -- Federal Communications Forum, Tuesday, Jan. 28, through Thursday, Jan. 30, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the Ramada Renaissance Techworld Hotel. -- Town Meeting, a yearly highlight of ComNet, Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 2:15 p.m. at the Ramada Renaissance Techworld Hotel.
