 MOODY'S REVIEWS HOSPITAL RATINGS IN FLORIDA;
 ONE UPGRADE, 16 CONFIRMATIONS
 NEW YORK, Sept. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Effective Today, Moody's completed its comprehensive review of hospital revenue bond ratings in Florida. The review of 17 hospital bond ratings resulted in one upgrade and 16 confirmations. One hospital, St. Francis Hospital in Miami Beach (currently rated "Ba") remains under review pending additional information as a result of a change in ownership.
 The one upgrade was for Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne to "A1" from "A." The upgrade reflects the hospital's strong market position within a rapidly growing service area. As a result the hospital continues to exhibit positive utilization trends and favorable financial performance.
 With few exceptions in highly competitive markets such as Dade County (Miami), hospitals in the state continue to experience growth parallel to the continued albeit slowing population growth. This growth has partially isolated many Florida hospitals from some of the other factors most hospitals around the country face.
 This review also includes two South Miami hospitals affected by Hurricane Andrew. Since the storm, Moody's has examined these hospitals, and at this time it does not appear that the effects of Hurricane Andrew have had any immediate impact on these hospitals' credit stature, resulting in no rating changes. However, longer term outlooks cannot yet be determined. Moody's will continue to monitor the progress of the hospitals since the hurricane.
 A special report, which will include a summary of the individual findings on each hospital as well as an overview of issues affecting health care in Florida, is expected to be published within several weeks. Following is a list of the Florida hospitals whose debt ratings were reviewed in the course of Moody's statewide review.
