MONTANA PRECISION MINING RECEIVES LETTER OF INTENT FROM CHINESE CONCERN

SPOKANE, Wash., June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Montana Precision Mining Ltd. (MPM) (NASDAQ: MPML) said today that it has received a letter of intent from Winnerway Industries (Holding) Co. Ltd. of Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, Peoples Republic of China (P.R.C.), to purchase up to two Skygas plants to process that city's waste products and sludge. The letter also calls for Winnerway's cooperating with MPM "in promoting and expanding the Skygas applications" in the P.R.C.
Commenting on the agreement, MPM President Charles A. Romberg stated that it was "only the first step" in MPM's drive to introduce the Skygas technology in Asia, Europe and around the world. Romberg said he believed that similar agreements could be reached "before the end of this year."
Skygas is a patented process for converting carbonaceous wastes such as wood chips, agricultural waste, sludge, tires, medical waste, municipal solid waste and auto fluff into clean burning, medium BTU fuel gas. The gas can be used for generating steam for electric power generation and also offers the potential for conversion into a variety of valuable chemicals. The technology has been under development in the United States and Italy for the last eight years.
MPM's partners in the Skygas venture include Smogless S.p.A. Milan Italy, (belonging to the Laidlaw Group - Canada); Xytel Technologies, Mt. Prospect, Ill.; and Enprotech Corporation, New York, NY, a wholly owned subsidiary of Itochu International, formerly C. Itoh & Co. (America) Inc.
