MOLSON BREWERIES ANNOUNCES WITHDRAWAL OF U.K. ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN USING PRESIDENT CLINTON

VANCOUVER, Aug. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Molson Breweries announced today that it has withdrawn the U.K. advertising campaign which uses the image of President Bill Clinton.
"The campaign was developed for the U.K. market, where the use of public figures very much conforms to our advertising standards and regulations," Geoffrey Palmer-Moore, general manager, Molson Breweries, United Kingdom, said. "While no product endorsement was implied, we have received feedback that the advertising may have raised some sensitivities in North America and we have therefore directed our agency to withdraw the campaign."
