MOFFENBEIER DEPARTS MENTOR GRAPHICS

WILSONVILLE, Ore., May 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Mentor Graphics Corp. (NASDAQ: MENT) announced today that David C. Moffenbeier (41), executive vice president of the company's World Trade Group, has left the company to pursue personal interests.
"Dave's personal and professional commitment to the company has had a great impact on making Mentor Graphics a leader in the electronic design automation industry. I speak for the management team, and the employees, in saying that we will miss Dave and his contributions," said Tom Bruggere, chairman and chief executive officer.
"I am very proud of what we've accomplished over the years," said Moffenbeier. "It's not been an easy decision to leave -- there always seems to be at least a dozen more things that one would like to accomplish. However, Mentor Graphics is building momentum in the marketplace with release 8.2, and now is the right time to pursue a few of my personal interests. I continue to believe in the long-term success of Mentor Graphics."
Moffenbeier was one of the nine original co-founders of Mentor Graphics. He has held a number of senior executive positions within the company. A search has begun for a vice president of the World Trade Group. David Brinker, currently vice president of International Operations, will fulfill Moffenbeier's responsibilities in the interim.
