 MODERN ENGINEERING NAMES JOHN MOWREY EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT,
 PRODUCT ENGINEERING GROUP
 WARREN, Mich., Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- John W. Mowrey will join Modern Engineering as executive vice president of the company's Product Engineering Group effective Nov. 9, according to Walter R. Garrison, president and chairman of Modern Engineering. He has also been named to serve on the company's seven-member Executive Committee, which coordinates all of Modern's resources.
 Mowrey formerly held senior engineering and product planning positions at Chevrolet and was vice president of Design, Product Planning and Purchasing activities at American Motors, prior to its acquisition by Chrysler. Recently, he has owned and managed his own engineering and consulting companies.
 "John brings to Modern a broad range of engineering and management skills which will help us focus sharply on understanding our customers' needs and on delivering high-quality services to satisfy those needs," Garrison said. "His experience further enhances Modern's full-service capability, from product concept to production tools."
 Garrison added that Mowrey's product engineering background complements other skills on the Executive Committee in vehicle engineering, prototyping, manufacturing engineering and production assembly tooling.
