MOBIL TO PROVIDE SAFETY TRAINING FOR ABU DHABI OIL OPERATIONS

FAIRFAX, Va., Sept. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Mobil Corporation (NYSE: MOB) said today it will provide safety training support services for the Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO), the government-owned oil company.
ADCO selected Mobil to provide services that would help enhance their existing safety management system. Mobil's Environmental, Health and Safety group will provide management training and general safety awareness programs for ADCO employees and contractors.
Mobil is developing a comprehensive training manual tailored to ADCO's safety program, an instructor's manual and multimedia course material. ADCO's entire work force of approximately 1,850 employees will be trained by the end of 1994. Managers and supervisors will receive a two-day course and the general work force will receive a half-day orientation.
Additionally, about 100 employees will be trained in the fundamentals of contractor safety management. Some of the students will then train contract employees.
The training will provide ADCO employees with the guidance and support they need to successfully implement the company's safety management system. The training covers fundamental safety concepts, safety management principles and complete details on the company's program.
Mobil also is working with PERTAMINA, the Indonesian government- owned oil company, to help them establish a world-class environmental, health and safety program.
ADCO selected Mobil based on its reputation for environmental, health and safety excellence and its years of experience in the Middle East.
