MME participates in infrastructure meet.

Visitors at the MME's stall at the exhibition during the International Conference on Civil Infrastructure and Construction.

The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME), represented by the Urban Planning and Infrastructure Planning departments, took part in organising the International Conference on Civil Infrastructure and Construction (CIC 2020), held during the World Congress of Engineering and Technology (WCET) in Doha from February 2-5. The WCET was held under the patronage of HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani and in the presence of HE the Minister of Municipality and Environment Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki al-Subaie. Described as the first of its kind in Qatar and the region, the conference had researchers and lecturers from 16 countries and 130 research papers were presented in various sectors. These papers threw light on the latest developments and success stories in the infrastructure sector in various countries. Represented by the two departments, MME also participated in presenting papers during the conference. The ministry also took part in the exhibition held as part of the conference and put on show its projects and plans for infrastructure and urban development in the country. HE al-Subaie attended the opening ceremony and visited the exhibition.
