MK SELECTED FOR $90-MILLION CONTRACTTO BUILD WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT IN EGYPT

 BOISE, Idaho, Nov. 18 ~PRNewswire~ -- William J. Agee, chairman and chief executive officer of Morrison Knudsen Corp. (MK) (NYSE: MRN), announced today that MK has been selected for a $90-million contract to provide final design and construction of a wastewater treatment plant in Egypt.
 The selection of MK was made by the National Organization for Potable Water and Sanitary Drainage, an agency of the Egyptian government. The project will be financed by the Egyptian government and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). MK was announced as apparent low bidder on the project in August.
 Notice to commence is expected within 45 days and the project is scheduled to take three years to complete. The contract will be awarded to MK, and MK will execute the work with the assistance of Misr Sons Development Corp. and Contrack International Inc.
 The wastewater plant, which will have an initial capacity of 90,000 cubic meters per day, will be constructed near Ismailia, about 60 miles northeast of Cairo. MK presently is at work on three other water-systems projects in Egypt.
