MK SELECTED BY EGYPTIAN NATIONAL RAILWAYS TO PROVIDE REMANUFACTURED LOCOMOTIVE PARTS

 BOISE, Idaho, Sept. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Morrison Knudsen Corp. (MK) (NYSE: MRN) announced today that it has been selected by the Egyptian National Railways to provide remanufactured locomotive parts.
 "This order represents a significant breakthrough in the international market, and once again signifies MK's total commitment to expanding its business presence on all continents," said William J. Agee, MK chairman and chief executive officer.
 Agee noted that this is the first time that Egypt has selected a company to provide parts, components and remanufactured products from other than the original equipment manufacturer.
 The order calls for the delivery of 20 remanufactured locomotive crankcase assemblies, with the potential of additional crankcase business in 1994.
 The work will be performed at MK's Boise Locomotive Operations. Completion is expected within three months.
