MITCHELL REPORTS SIX LIMESTONE COUNTRY PRODUCERS

 THE WOODLANDS, Texas, Nov. 24 ~PRNewswire~ -- Mitchell Energy & Development Corp. (NYSE: MND) today reported the completion of six natural gas wells in the Limestone County area in East Central Texas, including a significant extension well in the North Personville Field.
 The largest of the gas producers was the J.E. Engram No. 3, which test-flowed 4.7 million cubic feet per day on a 16~64-inch choke with 3,100 pounds per square inch (psi) of flowing tubing pressure. Perforations were between 10,792 feet and 10,954 feet in the Cotton Valley Lime formation of the North Personville Field. This well represents a significant northwesterly extension to the field. An offset well is currently being drilled.
 Five additional producers, also completed in the Cotton Valley Lime, were:
 -- The Browder G.U. No. 3, which tested at 4 million cubic feet per day on a 10~64-inch choke with 2,600 psi of flowing tubing pressure from perforations between 10,838 feet to 11,140 feet;
 -- The P. Rothermel No. 4, which flowed at an average daily rate of 3.5 million cubic feet on a 19~64-inch choke with 1,925 psi of flowing tubing pressure from perforations between 10,882 feet and 11,183 feet;
 -- The Quinn No. 3, which test-flowed 3 million cubic feet per day on a 15~64-inch choke with 1,640 psi of flowing tubing pressure from perforations between 11,888 feet and 12,262 feet;
 -- The B.J. Raines No. 3, which flowed 2.8 million cubic feet per day on a 13~64-inch choke with 1,700 psi of flowing tubing pressure from perforations between 10,864 feet and 11,176 feet; and
 -- The C.A. Miles No. 4, which tested at 1.8 million cubic feet per day on a 18~64-inch choke with 1,050 psi of flowing tubing pressure from perforations between 11,132 feet and 11,307 feet.
 MEC Development, Ltd., a partnership in which Mitchell is the operator and general partner, holds working interests ranging from 72 to 100 percent in the six wells.
