MISSION: IM IBLE POSH; JACK'S BACK IN ODD COUPLE COMEDY DRAMA.

Byline: Words by: Anna Richardson & Neil Batey

You don't really think of Jack Whitehall as an action hero. And his latest character - posh PhD student Barnaby - is even less so.

The uptight son of an antiques dealer, Barnaby takes over the family business when dad Nigel (Robert Lindsay) ends up in hospital after a mysterious accident.

Barnaby realises his dad was dealing in dodgy antiquities stolen from war zones, and is left with an incriminating statue after being conned out of PS50,000. So when his wacky sister Leah (Charity Wakefield) returns from abroad, she suggests they recruit her new pal Nina - a bounty hunter from Brooklyn, New York - to get the money back.

But Nina (Rosie Perez) is on the run herself, after accidentally bumping off the son of a Mexican drug lord. Cue l aughs and action as Barnaby and Nina team up.

'They definitely are the odd couple,' explains Jack, who wrote Bounty Hunters with best pal and Bad Education co-creator Freddy Syborn. 'It's a very unique dynamic because they are so different. She wears e d her heart on her sleeve while Barnaby is quite emotionally repressed. Nina is from a tough background and she's street-smart, kick-ass and hard as nails. Barnaby is wet, shy and apologetic for his mere existence!'
